Design

KNXpress designs smart building installations of any size using KNX as a base technology. All of our designs focus on being future proof and user friendly, integrating all lighting, sun shading, heating, cooling and ventilation into a single building management system. Optionally, security and access control can be connected and integrated.

Implementation

Within our core work area in The Netherlands, we can provide a full and certified electrotechnical installation service. Outside of our core work area, we provide our services as a consultant or system integrator and work in conjunction with your own local installer or electrical contractor.

Support and maintenance

If requested, our secure remote systems can monitor your building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from our data center in the Netherlands, with automated alarms when a malfunction or other anomoly is detected. We are also able to provide secure remote maintenance to your building installation on request.

Lighting

Our primary choice for lighting control is DALI. DALI allows for 100% digital communication between the KNX network and the light fixture. That provides seamless, independent and 100% flickerfree dimming of every light in the building. We can modify most existing light fixtures to be DALI controllable. Special consideration is given to lighting redundancy, so that a single circuit failure will not lead to total darkness, even in a small building.

Shutters, blinds and other shading

We can integrate all screens, shutters, blinds and other shading or privacy measures into the building management system. Weather and time dependent automatic logic can easily be implemented, as well as easy manual control from one or more locations, or even remote. We can also integrate most proprietry wireless systems, as well as electronic privacy glass.

HVAC (heating, ventilcation, air conditioning

The comfort and welbeing of all building occupants is of utmost importance. Our building management systems integrate and controls all HVAC equipment in the building, in conjuction with temperature, CO2 and moisture sensors throughout. Options such as per-room thermostats, per-room zoning for ventilation, multi-stage heating and cooling are all possible. For hotels and other buildings in the hospitality sector, per-room HVAC settings and actual temperatures can not only be controlled from the room, but controls and real-time data are also available for front desk and support staff. The system can identify heating- and cooling issues before they impact your guests.

Water, gas, electricity usage

Our systems provide detailed insight into water, gas and electricity usage, optionally per building part, room or system. Leaks and wasteful energy usuage can be easily identified and quickly resolved.

Uiteraard is ook uw energieverbruik inzichtelijk. Niet alleen als geheel, maar elk gewenst onderdeel van uw installatie kan apart bemeten worden. Zo kunt u bijvoorbeeld in een oogopslag zien hoeveel u verbruikt voor verwarming, de auto of de verlichting.

Consultancy and recovery

Our experts are available for large and smal projects. We can consult on KNX and smart building projects and provide our expertise.

We also specialize in rebuilding and repurposing older installations or installations where the KNX project files are no longer available. By using our own in-house tools we can usually recreate and document the complete configuration of your system in a short timeframe.

Support and Maintenance

Our management systems provide automated monitoring of your building's systems 24/7. Any malfunction or other issue will be pro-actively addressed. A defect in lighting or an HVAC issue, all will be noticed by our systems before they become an issue for the occupants of the building. Any configuration changes to the system can usually be implemented by us without the need to go on site, which leads to significant cost savings.
